On the occasion of the completion of fifty (50) years since the transfer\/donation of the Saint George Cathedral of Stockholm (Birger Jarlsgatan 92, 11420 Stockholm) from the \u201cCatholic Apostolic Church\u201d to the Holy Metropolis of Sweden and All Scandinavia, it is announced with pleasure that the Holy Metropolis is organizing two days of anniversary celebrations, according to the following program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 5:00 p.m.<\/strong> Paschal Vespers, presided over by His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Elaia, with the participation of the Very Reverend Archimandrite Bartholomew, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou of Mount Athos, and clergy of the Holy Metropolis of Sweden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 6:00 p.m.<\/strong> Lecture by the Very Reverend Archimandrite Bartholomew, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou of Mount Athos, on the topic: \u201cThe Power of Prayer in the Contemporary World.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    • Sermon by the Very Reverend Archimandrite Bartholomew, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou, Mount Athos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Memorial service for the founders and benefactors, as well as for all those who have served as clerhymen at the Cathedral.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
