On the afternoon of Thursday, December 18th, 2025, the 6th consecutive meeting with the Catechumens and the newly illumined faithful took place at the premises of the Saint George Cathedral of Stockholm.
It should be noted that this was preceded by a meeting between His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia and the newly elected President of the Pan-Epirote Brotherhood of Stockholm, the Honorable Mr. Georgios Mokos, who was accompanied by his son Panagiotis.
During this meeting, Mr. Mokos requested and received the archpastoral blessings of the Metropolitan, paid his respects, and expressed the intention of himself, the Administrative Council, and the Members of the Brotherhood to remain steadfastly devoted to the sacred traditions and values of our Homeland and our Nation. The traditional festive sweets that he offered were subsequently distributed to the Catechumens.
During the meeting with the Catechumens, Metropolitan Cleopas, analyzed in English his recently published article entitled “Sleep, my little angel, sweetly with my song” («Κοιμήσου αγγελούδι μου, γλυκά με το τραγούδι μου»), expounded on the theology of the Incarnation of the Son and Word of God, and responded to the questions of the ever-increasing number of Catechumens, who exceeded 60 participants in physical presence and 30 online.
At the conclusion of the meeting, as previously announced, His Eminence distributed catechetical material in the English and Greek languages to those present. This material was kindly offered, on behalf of the organization “Agape Hellas,” by the Honorable Mr. Emmanouil Toufexis and bears the title “Going Deeper with Jesus Christ” («Βαθύτερη γνωριμία με τον Ιησού Χριστό»).
After the exchange of festive greetings in view of the celebrations of the Holy Twelve Days of Christmas, the next meeting, God willing, is scheduled for Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (Swedish time). Those residing outside Stockholm may follow the meeting online via the following link:
